What Is a Doula?
A birth doula is a trained professional who provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after childbirth. Unlike a medical provider, a doula’s role is not to deliver the baby, but to care for the birthing person and their support team — helping them feel calm, confident, and informed throughout the journey.
My Goal as Your Doula
As a birth doula and licensed massage therapist based in Rice, TX, I offer holistic support for families in Corsicana, Ennis, Waxahachie, and the surrounding areas.
My goals are to:
Support both mothers and fathers through the entire pregnancy and birth process
Help you understand your rights and explore your options
Encourage healthy, respectful communication with your care team
Provide continuous support during pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum
Offer massage therapy appointments to reduce tension and improve comfort, including to the baby after birth.
Empower you with education and personalized care, so you can make informed decisions for your family
Honor and support your unique birth philosophy — whether that’s unmedicated, epidural-assisted, hospital, home birth, or something in between
Smart Questions to Ask Before Any Procedure or Intervention:
What are the benefits?
What are the risks?
What are the alternatives?
These three simple questions can help you make empowered decisions during labor and birth — and I’ll be right there to help you ask them.
